A family tradition in dentistry. Deep roots in Bristol.
The Snyder family’s connection to dentistry in Bristol reaches back to 1953, when Dr. Snyder’s father, Dr. John C. Snyder, began his local practice. His father cared for patients here until 1974, and Dr. Snyder’s sister also works as a dental hygienist in the area. Dental care is a shared calling in the Snyder family, with a lasting connection to this community.
A Bristol native and Tennessee High School graduate, Dr. Snyder earned his biology degree at Vanderbilt University in 1979 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Tennessee at Memphis. His career includes service in the U.S. Navy and Navy Dental Corps, and he was promoted to Navy Captain in 2008.
Dr. Snyder began private practice in 1994, continuing his family’s connection to dental care in Bristol. He values taking time with patients and getting to know the person behind each smile—a personal approach to dentistry in the community he calls home.
